Business Needs
Dissatisfaction with their current email solution spurred eCORP to examine the rest of their network. A desire for more secure and reliable data backups along with a more formidable firewall solution encouraged a series of network refresh projects.
ERGOS Solution
ERGOS installed Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS) which offers collaboration and sharing of calendars, contacts, tasks and email with the included Microsoft Exchange Server. In addition server 2003 was installed on a separate server. An EMC AX100 was employed as a network attached storage device. For security a SonicWALL SSL VPN 2000 was configured for VPN and Microsoft Remote Web Workplace (RWW) was utilized for remote work.
The Results
eCORP now has a stable foundation that can be relied upon without constant supervision. Mail flow is stable, secure and uncomplicated for the end users, and security is formidable without being a hindrance. eCORP employees are now able to remotely access their desktops in a secure manner, using RWW, that allows them to work from any location as if they were in front of their office PC.
