Business Needs

Harger Howe’s email server had reached capacity, causing intermittent issues with sending and receiving emails. They wanted to update their servers, improve network performance, minimize risk of downtime and resolve backup issues. They were looking for an IT partner that could work with a mixed environment of MAC’s and PC’s, bring their system up-to-date with current hardware and software, and increase efficiencies.

ERGOS Solution

ERGOS installed a new Microsoft Exchange server for email, collaboration and sharing and a Windows Terminal Server for a robust remote access solution. For their backups, ERGOS set up a new tape storage system with much larger capacity and better security on the new server to support their growth.

The Results

Server downtime has been virtually eliminated and email issues resolved. With Terminal Services, Harger Howe’s distributed workforce has full access to collaboration and sharing features of Exchange. The network performs faster and user and network management are efficient. As a result, productivity is significantly improved. The new backup solution provides them with peace of mind knowing their data is protected and they have room to grow.
