Business Needs
In addition to the need for a robust back office system, Remicalm needed the ability to store and continuously analyze Terabytes of data from clinical trials.
ERGOS Solution
ERGOS installed Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS) which offers collaboration and sharing of calendars, contacts, tasks and email with the included Microsoft Exchange Server. In addition to the SBS server, ERGOS installed a Dell PowerVault Direct Attached Storage server in order to store Terabytes of clinical research data for analysis through a Microsoft SQL Server. Research data will be securely transferred to Remicalm from clinics and hospitals through a Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance.
The Results
Remicalm now has the foundation in place to access its clinical research data for analysis. In addition, with the new SBS server, management is now able to see team member availability, contact history and activities, and create and implement team projects faster. Plus, the company can work remotely now with the Remote Web Workplace feature available with SBS. Remicalm management has peace of mind knowing that this new infrastructure will not only meet the company’s needs today, but provide growth potential for years to come.
