Spur is a fast growing business and did not have the ability to share calendars and contacts. With 15 employees and expanding, not being able to share information quickly was hampering their ability to grow. They were looking for an IT company that had their values of professionalism, skill, and best practices.
ERGOS installed Microsoft Small Business Server that offers collaboration and sharing of calendars, contacts, tasks and email with the Microsoft Exchange Mail Server and enhanced file sharing capabilities SharePoint services. To stabilize and secure the network infrastructure, ERGOS created two layers of protection against viruses, spyware and malware by setting up spam and virus filtering with Spam Soap, anti spyware and intrusion protection, and Symantec Enterprise Antivirus for an efficient centrally managed antivirus solution for the server and workstations. To protect their data, ERGOS installed a robust tape backup solution with Symantec Backup Exec.
Spur is able to see team availability, contact history and activities, and create and implement team projects faster with their new mail server. Plus, they can work remotely now with the Remote Web Workplace feature available with SBS. Productivity has improved and they have peace of mind knowing that the new infrastructure can effectively support their growth.
