George R. Willy, P.C. is a fast growing immigration law firm that was using POP email and was having remote access issues for their Atlanta and Pakistan offices. They were working in a Workgroup environment and needed a centralized server to manage their workstations, their security updates and backups. They were looking for a Microsoft Partner who could create this server infrastructure, streamline their user management, simplify user login procedures, create a robust backup solution and setup a collaborative environment to accommodate their growth.
ERGOS migrated them from a Workgroup environment to a simplified server network with the installation of Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS), migrating all data and applications from their workstations. To make their network more secure, three layers of security were implemented with antivirus, antispyware and intrusion protection via a SonicWALL firewall, Symantec AntiVirus on the server, and a spam filter service. ERGOS set up a sophisticated data hierarchy for data storage and security on the new server. The remote access capabilities of SBS were set up for the local and distributed workforce.
George R. Willy, P.C. has a streamlined server network that is fully documented. With their Microsoft Exchange mail server, employees can share calendars, contacts and files. Remote access was resolved with Outlook Web Access, Remote Web Workplace and Outlook Mobile for mobile phones. With the new infrastructure, issues of the past were eliminated resulting in an immediate increase in productivity for office and mobile workers, including their two remote locations in Atlanta and overseas.
