Terminal Server Speeds up Production for Dunn Heat Exchangers

Dunn Heat Exchangers had a job tracking system that an outside vendor developed especially for them. Their vendor put it on their existing server, but it performed too slow. The vendor recommended that it be put on a separate Terminal Server. Dunn Heat asked ERGOS to help them install and configure the server for them.
It was found that the database software program was doing a security check on each user causing a drag on its performance on the existing Small Business Server. ERGOS implemented a Microsoft Windows Terminal Server and installed the program onto the Terminal Server. ERGOS continues to provide Managed Services for their entire network infrastructure.
The job tracking system is extremely fast on the new Terminal Server. Everyone has to use it, especially the production team in the shop. They maintain a daily schedule and input into it 2-3 times a day, editing several jobs and adding comments. The quickness of the program helps them to be more productive.
